TUBING AND TIPU

Carry your tube while you hike along an easy jungle trail.  Visit Tipu, an unexcavated Mayan site before you settle into your tube and embark on a totally relaxing float down the Macal River.  Lay back, let the river do the work, and view the natural beauty of the jungle.  Perhaps you’ll want to identify the beautiful birds that reveal themselves that day.  You may see black vultures, the rare king vulture so magnificent in flight, cormorants, kingfishers, swallows, cattle egrets, great egrets, northern jacana, grey-necked wood-rails.   Or maybe the iguanas camouflaged on branches.

Lunch included before or after.  Time for an optional swim or brief jungle hike to visit a very special tree.
