Driving Directions to Mariposa Jungle Lodge

Leaving the airport parking, you will see a junction in front of you. Take the left road towards Burrell Boom. Turn left here up the Northern Highway away from Belize City and continue until you reach a sign to the left for Burrell Boom. Turn left and continue until you reach a traffic circle where you bear right toward Belmopan. At Belmopan carry on along the Western Highway toward San Ignacio Cayo. You will pass a bright orange gift shop called "Orange Gifts" on your right hand side.

After you pass the Belize Zoo, you will see a sign to Belmopan and Dangriga.  Ignore this and continue straight past Guanacaste Park on your right and over a small bridge to Roaring Creek.  Then you’ll pass through a series of villages, including Unitedville, Blackman Eddy, and eventually Georgeville, where you’ll see a large overhead sign directing you to turn left toward to Mt. Pine Ridge and Caracol. 

On the driver side, you’ll see a group of resort signs, including one for Mariposa Jungle Lodge.  So, you turn left and follow the Georgeville Road for approximately 9 miles, passing a turnoff on the left to El Progresso/7 Miles and the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch on the right.  Soon you will reach a junction where you should turn right.  Landmarks:  a local store called “The Junction” and a sign to Mariposa on the corner across the road.  Watch for our driveway on the left, approximately 200 feet from the corner.  Pull into the second driveway, on the far side of the road sign.
