Our Excursions

Our excursions are designed and selected to give you the opportunity to truly experience the beauty of Belize. Whether bathing in the pool of a waterfall, shopping in a local market, cooking with local Belizeans, listening to birds singing, riding under the jungle canopy, floating in a cave on a tube or in a canoe, or exploring the means of the great Mayan culture, we want you to have a diverse and wonderful adventure.

We invite you to study our excursions and complete the
"Dream Trip Questionnaire". Please propose your own vacation package and we’ll do our best to offer you a special rate. Or, let us design a proposal for you based on the responses to your Questionnaire. We welcome this initial opportunity to provide personalized service. You may also book your cabaña reservation and select excursions, based on availability, after arrival. We aim to please!

Important Notes

The minimum number of guest requirement is reflective of the high cost of fuel in Belize (currently US$5 per gallon.) Any tour can be provided for one or more guests with a modest fuel surcharge. We appreciate your understanding.
If you have prepaid all meals as a guest at Mariposa Jungle Lodge, the cost of meals will be deducted from excursion prices.
Discretionary gratuities for your guides are NOT included.
These are the tours we suggest. If you wish to ride a canoe along a local river or visit any of the numerous fascinating Belize destinations, we will be happy to customize your tour or assist you with arrangements.

If time permits, we will arrange a visit to the Belize Zoo or Old Belize, or a narrated tour of Belize City in conjunction with your arrival or departure. A nominal fee will apply.

In planning your holiday, don’t overlook the amenities of the Lodge. Allow some time to enjoy the Library and your personal hammock. Unless you’re a seasoned traveler in this type of environment, expect climate and road conditions to reduce your usual energy level. Let yourself go and relax!
