On Panty Rippers or Mariposa Magic - A True Conflict!, May 2007
After a day of hiking among Maya ruins, horseback riding through the jungle, exploring caves, or indulging in myriad photographic opportunities, what better way to tend the day than to debate the relative virtues of Panty Rippers or Mariposa Magic, two of the many tropical drinks offered at Mariposa Jungle Lodge.

The schools of guest preference are divided, with coconut fans on one side and fruit fanatics on the other. Or, expressed more directly, those who like a light drink versus those who want to feel the "punch."

Personally, after one or two Mariposa Magics (a strong multi-rum, multi-fruit punch,) I feel like I can do magic. Or, expressed another way, it's magic when I can find my way unassisted to the Ladies Room. The Panty Ripper is a mere warm-up act, made of coconut rum and pineapple juice. Delicious. Refreshing. But baby stuff. In fact, Mariposa Jungle Lodge expressly disclaims any participation in or responsibility for the 'Ripper' part. They provide the drink; the rest is up to you.

The only solution is for everyone to try both. It's a delightful conflict to address.
