Caracol/Mt. Pine Ridge

Caracol, Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Rio Frio Cave and Rio On Pools 

Caracol, where an estimated 150,000 people once lived in a metropolis covering nearly a square mile, is the largest and most spectacular Mayan site in Belize. Located in the Chiquibul Rainforest, only seven miles from the Guatemalan border (if you’re a bird), Caracol is actually larger than nearby Tikal, but not as extensively excavated.
