Hiking in Belize

Mariposa Jungle Lodge is located on 40 acres in the subtropical broadleaf forest, a dense and beautiful area that affords jungle hiking opportunities of varying degrees of difficulty. Our expert guides who grew up on the surrounding lands will customize the itinerary based on what you want to see. Pricing varies based on length of time, number of people, and the need for packed lunch. Guided night hiking is also available on request (and incredibly fun!).

Guests may also partake in complimentary self-guided tours of the on-site hiking and nature trails (map available). A favorite destination is our Jungle Birdwatch Tower, just a short hike from the lodge and cabanas. Here you climb stairs to a deck 20 feet off the ground, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of a jungle landscape brimming with different trees, plants, birds, and wildlife.
